People in the Clare area are asked to donate blood this week due to severe shortages over the holiday period.

A series of evening clinics run at Treacy’s West County Hotel, Ennis, from 5pm until 8pm this evening (6th August), tomorrow (7th) and on Monday (12th August), while a special clinic will also be held this Sunday afternoon from 12pm until 3pm.

Supplies are particularly tight after the Bank Holiday Weekend, particularly for A-negative, B-negative and O-negative blood groups.
