The Diocese of Killaloe was very much united with Pope Francis on Saturday 27th of July as some of his closest advisors came to the Cathedral for the Episcopal Ordination of one of our own native Sons. Three Cardinals, five Apostolic Nuncios, Bishops and Priests from both here in Ireland and all around the world gathered in the Cathedral at 11am when both the local and universal Church prayed together. It was a day of joy for all the faithful, lay and clerical who took part in the Ordination Ceremony.  Archbishop Séamus, who was Baptised in Shannon in 1969, will leave for his first mission as Papal Nuncio to South Sudan later in the month. We wish him every blessing for bringing the Words of the Gospel to the ends of the Earth.
