On Tuesday 17th April we welcomed Bishop Fintan to the parish where he confirmed 42 pupils from St. Conaire’s school at a ceremony in SS John & Paul Church. The school choir provided beautiful instrumental music and singing for the occasion. After the ceremony Bishop Fintan spent time with the teachers and families. On Wednesday 18th April, Bishop Fintan began the day by confirming 41 pupils from St Senan’s, St Tola’s, Gaelscoil Donncha Rua, St John’s, and one pupil from St Anne’s School, Ennis at a ceremony in Mary Immaculate Church.

This year the host choir was from St. Senan’s school conducted by Kate Lynch with organist Annette Ahlsved. In the afternoon Bishop Fintan concluded his visit to the parish with the celebration of Confirmation for 41 pupils from St. Aidan’s School. Renee Hayes conducted the choir with Doireann Wylde and Don O’Sullivan joining musicians from the school. Our thanks to all involved in helping our young people prepare for the sacrament, our teachers, school staff, Faith Friends Leaders, our sacristans, Mary Coneely and Michelle Justice, Joe Buckley for photographs and Theresa Campbell, our website manager. Our thanks to Joe Buckley for the photos.
